  1. Hi Larry, a bit off topic on this post, but I’m reading Robert Royal’s A Deeper Vision and I’m interested to know what you think of his portrayal of Karl Rahner as a more or less orthodox theologian whose students took things too far?

    1. I think Royal is mostly correct in that view. Rahner never held any heretical views and, though fairly liberal, always publicly supported the magisterium. However, he had a very dangerous Christology in my view, and a shallow soteriology, and a problematic theology of grace. So there were some ticking time bombs in there….

  2. I just listened today and I’m so thankful for your thoughts on “Discalced laity.” As a Catholic wife and mom of five it was so touching.
