A wonderful short letter from my friend Paul Seaton in support of our fundraiser!

I cannot thank my friend Paul Seaton enough for the following short letter he sent to me and which he wants me to publish here. It is his hope that it will help our fundraiser reach its goal. As his note makes clear, he himself has generously donated $2000 for which we are deeply grateful. Thanks for the support Paul! Here is his note:

My bon mots:
Chappsters of the World, Unite!  And Donate!
Now that I have your attention, let me introduce myself.  I’m Paul Seaton, a sometime guest on Larry’s podcast, but more importantly a regular beneficiary of his podcasts and  various writings, including over at Catholic World Report.    Short of Bishop Barron, Larry’s probably the hardest working man in theological show biz these days.  He also puts his rubber boots where his mouth is, working his farm, as well as calling us all to deeper conversion and witness.   Larry puts me to shame in these regards, but that’s okay because humiliation is close to humility.  When he announced his fundraiser, I happily donated a goodly amount ($2000), mainly to support him and his many works, but also because I’ve seen how fundraising works.  You need an eye-catching initial amount to grease the wheels and get things going.  He’s up to $9, 000 right now, which is pretty good, but I think we Chappsters can do better.  I’ll tell you what:  if we get to within $2000 of the $28, 000 target number, I’ll supply the shortfall.   Let’s try to get this done within a couple of weeks, so Larry can get things done that he need to get done.   God is working through Larry.  It’s a gift to be able to collaborate.
